Tram stops. Where the tram stops at a platform, either in the middle or at the side of the road, you MUST follow the route shown by the road signs and markings. At stops without platforms you MUST NOT drive between a tram and the left-hand kerb when a tram has stopped to pick up passengers. If there is no alternative route signed, do not overtake the tram - wait until it moves off.

Do Not Pass on the Left
You MUST NOT drive between a stationary tram and the left - hand kerb while it is picking up or dropping off passengers .
Follow Road Signs and Markings
Where a tram stop features a platform in the middle or at the side of the road , you MUST strictly follow the route indicated by road signs .
Platform Stops
These are designated areas where passengers wait on a raised area rather than the left - hand kerbside .
Wait for Movement
If there is no signed alternative route , do not atternpt to overtake the tram ; stay stationary until the tram moves off .
