Where is my driving licence number?

On a UK photocard licence, the driver number is printed on the front. Keep it private and only enter it on an official GOV.UK or DVLA service.

Lost, stolen or damaged licence

Do not continue using a licence that has been reported stolen. Follow the official replacement process and check whether you need to provide identity information or pay a fee.

Renewal and address changes

Photocard licences normally need renewal periodically. If you move, update your address through the official service so your driving record and documents remain accurate.

Licence checks and share codes

Employers, hire companies and other organisations may ask you to share your driving record. Generate a code only through the official DVLA service and check the recipient before sharing it.
