Loading and unloading. Do not load or unload where there are yellow markings on the kerb and upright signs advise restrictions are in place (see ‘Road markings’). This may be permitted where parking is otherwise restricted. On red routes, specially marked and signed bays indicate where and when loading and unloading is permitted.

Yellow Kerb Markings & General Restrictions
Observe Yellow Kerb Markings
Do not load or unload in areas where there are yellow markings on the kerb accompanied by upright signs advising of restrictions .
Check for Signs even if Parking is Restricted
Loading / unloading may be permitted in areas where general parking is prohibited , provided there are no specific kerb markings and signs forbidding it .
Upright Signs are Mandatory Kerb markings must be read in conjunction with upright signs to understand the specific hours and days of the restrictions .
