Rule 198 : Priority at the Green Light
The Signal Changes to Green
When the traffic light for vehicles transitions to green , drivers must prepare to move but should not immediately accelerate .
Observe the Crossing Area: Drivers must actively look for any pedestrians who have not yet finished crossing the road .
Give Way to Pedestrians
You must remain stationary and allow anyone still in the road to reach the other side safely before you proceed .
Applies to All Crossings: This rule is a universal safety standard that must be followed at every type of pedestrian crossing , without exception .
