You MUST NOT park on a crossing or in the area covered by the zig-zag lines. You MUST NOT overtake the moving vehicle nearest the crossing or the vehicle nearest the crossing which has stopped to give way to pedestrians.

PARKING PROHIBITIONS
OVERTAKING RESTRICTIONS
No Parking on the Crossing: Drivers are strictly prohibited from parking any part of their vehicle directly on the pedestrian crossing surface .
Do Not Overtake the Lead Moving Vehicle You must not overtake the moving vehicle that is currently nearest to the pedestrian crossing .
Stay Clear of Zig - Zag Lines: Parking is forbidden in the entire area marked by zig - zag lines to ensure pedestrians and drivers have an unobstructed view of one another .
Road Traffic
No Overtaking Stationary Vehicles
If a vehicle has stopped at the crossing to give way to pedestrians , you are legally forbidden from overtaking it .

These safety mandates are enforced under Section 25 ( 5 ) of the RTRA .
