When turning

keep as close to the left as is safe and practicable
give way to any vehicles using a bus lane, cycle lane, cycle track or tramway from either direction, including when they are passing slow moving or stationary vehicles on either side.

SAFE POSITIONING

Keep Close to the Left

When preparing for and executing a turn , position your vehicle as close to the left as is safe and practicable .

PRIORITY LANE AWARENESS

Identify Protected Lanes

Be alert for the presence of bus lanes , cycle lanes , cycle tracks , or tramways intersecting your path .

Give Way to Priority Vehicles

You must yield to any vehicles using these dedicated lanes , regardless of which direction they are traveling .

Yield During Overtaking Maneuvers

You must give way even if the vehicles in the priority lanes are passing slow - moving or stationary traffic on either side .
