Brakes affected by water. If you have driven through deep water your brakes may be less effective. Test them at the first safe opportunity by pushing gently on the brake pedal to make sure that they work. If they are not fully effective, gently apply light pressure while driving slowly. This will help to dry them out.

IMMEDIATE ASSESSMENT
Water Reduces Brake Effectiveness
After driving through deep water , your brakes may not work as well as they normally do , increasing your stopping distance .
Perform a Safety Test
At the very first safe opportunity , push gently on the brake pedal to verify if the brakes are functioning correctly .
RESTORATION PROCEDURE
Apply Light Pressure
If the brakes are not fully effective , maintain a slow speed and gently apply light pressure to the brake pedal .
Friction Dries the System
The heat generated by the light , continuous application of the brakes helps to dry out the components and restore grip .
Drive Slowly
It is critical to perform the drying process at low speeds to maintain control of the vehicle until braking power is restored .
