Rule 68 : Essential Safety Laws for Cyclists

No Unauthorized Passengers

You must not carry a passenger unless your cycle has been specifically built or adapted to carry one safely .

Do Not ' Hitch ' to Vehicles

It is illegal to hold onto a moving vehicle or trailer while riding your cycle .

Ride Responsibly

You must not ride in a manner that is dangerous , careless , or inconsiderate to others .

Zero Tolerance for Impairment

Riding under the influence of drink or drugs - including certain medicines that may affect performance - is strictly prohibited .
