No Horses on Footpaths or Pavements
It is a legal requirement that you must not take a horse onto a footpath or pavement under Laws HA 1835 sect 72 & R ( S ) A sect 129 ( 6 ) .
Avoid Cycle Tracks
Riders should not take a horse onto a cycle track to avoid potential conflicts with cyclists .
Utilize Dedicated Equestrian Crossings
When crossing a road , look for and use specifically provided equestrion crossings ( referenced in Rule 27 ) .
Dismount at Level Crossings
At railway level crossings , riders must dismount if a ' horse rider dismount ' sign is clearly displayed for safety .
