MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR CHILDREN
The Under - 14 Mandate
RECOMMENDATIONS & EXEMPTIONS
Guidance for Adult Riders
Children under the age of 14 are legally required to wear a helmet while riding .
Secure Fastening
While not legally mandated for those 14 and older , all other riders should follow these safety requirements
It is a legal requirement that the helmet MUST be fastened securely to ensure maximum protection .
Sikh Religious Exemption
Helmet requirements do not apply to a child who is a follower of the Sikh religion while they are wearing a turban .
Regulatory Compliance
All helmets used must comply with the specific standards set out in the Regulations .
