Rule 32 : Essential Bus Safety Guide

Boarding and Alighting

Wait for a Full Stop

You should only get on or off a bus once it has completely stopped to allow passengers to do so .

Crossing the Street

Watch for Cyclists

Remain vigliant and look out for cyclists specifically when you are getting off the bus to avoid a collision .

Avoid the Blind Spots Never attempt to cross the road directly in front of or directly behind a bus , as this creates a significant visibility hazard .

Wait for the Bus to Depart

Before crossing , wait until the bus has moved off from the stop so it is no longer obstructing your view .

Ensure Clear Visibility Only cross the road once the bus is gone and you can see clearly in both directions .
